If life is getting you down, and you know you need a break, the first idea is normally to get away and go somewhere.  In fact, anywhere, where you can put your feet up, let your hair down, relax and find yourself again.

The good news is that this ‘somewhere‘ is less than two hours’ drive from Cape Town, in the picturesque fishing village of Paternoster on the Cape West Coast.  Here you can walk on the beach, read, sleep, eat and just relax.  There isn’t much else to do, and that is exactly why this little gem is no longer the best kept secret in the country.

Of course, December is the busiest time, but one shouldn’t forget about the summer months between February & April when the most gorgeous weather can be enjoyed, or the crisp winter days around the fire with a glass of read wine.  And, of course, during August & September the flowers put on a spectacular show.
